About OMA
Oxbridge Muslim Alumni (OMA) was founded in 2004 to provide a platform for Muslim alumni and students from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge to connect, network, and grow together.
With over 1,000 members spanning 74 colleges, OMA organises networking events, panels, iftars, book clubs, and career-focused gatherings throughout the year. We welcome anyone who has studied or is currently studying at Oxford or Cambridge and identifies as Muslim, as well as Friends of OMA (FOMA).
OMA is a registered alumni group with the University of Cambridge. Our mission is to foster lifelong connections among Muslim graduates and students, creating a supportive community that transcends generations and geographies.
What We Do
- Alumni Directory -- A searchable directory of verified members, making it easy to find and connect with fellow alumni by college, year, industry, or location.
- Events & Networking -- Regular events including annual dinners, professional panels, Ramadan iftars, and informal meetups across London and beyond.
- Mentoring & Career Support -- Connecting students and early-career alumni with experienced professionals for guidance, referrals, and mentorship.
- Community -- A shared space for Muslim Oxbridge alumni to support one another, share opportunities, and celebrate achievements.
Committee
OMA is run by a volunteer committee of alumni and current students. Committee members are elected annually and are responsible for organising events, maintaining the platform, and representing the community.
Committee member profiles will be displayed here.
